CORVALLIS, OR -- Oregon State University said Thursday its researchers attracted more than $275 million in scientific contracts and grants in during the 2009-2010 school year. That figures is roughly double what OSU attracted in research funding a decade ago. Grants from the federal government represented nearly $185 million, while grants from the private industry grew to nearly $5.25 million.
University officials said overall growth this year was due almost entirely to a surge in competitive awards.
